SANTA FE — Members of the public will have an opportunity to provide input next month as the New Mexico Department of Wildlife is proposing to stock hybrid striped bass, also known as wipers, into Elephant Butte Reservoir.
The Department will hold a public meeting from 6-7 p.m., March 5, in the Boat Training Building at Elephant Butte Lake State Park (7 Ridge Road in Elephant Butte). Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting to learn about the proposal and provide comments.

Los Alamos County is seeking community input on potential renovations to the athletic courts at Urban Park and invites residents to participate in an upcoming listening session focused on how the courts and surrounding spaces are used today.
The community meeting will provide an opportunity for participants to share feedback, identify needs, and explore ideas to improve athletic facilities and better serve the community. This project involves removing and replacing current assets within the same footprint, including the tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts.

The Feb. 4 team game was a great success. There were 7 teams in play, including two teams from Santa Fe. Local players Sig Lodwig, Jerry Morzinski, Jerry Fleming and Cliff Rudy were the overall winners.
