Los Alamos Golf Course Parking Lot Construction
COUNTY News:
Construction of the final phase of the Los Alamos COunty Golf Course parking lot is scheduled to begin Monday, April 18.
The contractor, GM Emulsion, will install a perimeter fence around the eastern portion of the main parking lot for safety. Patrons of the golf course will be allowed to use the western portion of the parking lot and overflow parking areas.

The 6th Annual Run For Her Life 5K and 10K Run was held Sunday at East Park to benefit Breast Cancer Research.
Daniel Santistevan was the top male in the 5K with a time of 20:24. Tammie Nelson was the first 5K female finisher recording a 22:33.

New Sign Installed At Los Alamos Golf Course
A new sign was installed last week in front of the Los Alamos Golf Course on Diamond Drive and features the Cottonwood on the Greens restaurant. Golf membership is not required to dine at the restaurant, which is open to the public 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Sunday. Breakfast is served 9-11 a.m., lunch is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner is 5-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A brunch buffet is served 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. The Los Alamos Mountaineers invite everyone to join them for a presentation by Kevin Stillman on the state of the Bandelier backcountry and trails post Las Conchas Fire.
Stillman is the trail work leader at Bandelier. He has worked at Bandelier for seven years and hiked and backpacked in Bandelier and the surrounding area for many years.

High Flyers Gymnasts captured three all-around state titles, eight state event titles, and a total of 50 first, second, and third place medals at the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic State Championships this month. Anabel Irving and Eliana Rodriguez won all-around state championship titles in Level 2 age group competition, and Emily Smith was named all-around state champion in Level 3.
