Roxana Candia is the top predictor with a 4 second error in the weekly pace race Tuesday on N.M. 501 (West Jemez Road).

Ryan Smeltzer was close behind at 7 seconds off, followed by Jackie Peckham with a 9 second differential. Other noted predictors were Mark Bjorklund at 18 seconds off and Inez Ross recording a 27 second difference.

The classical music of Mozart will be performed at Bandelier National Monument’s Juniper Campground outdoor amphitheater during the park’s fourth annual “Opera on the Rocks,” Sept. 26.

Jerry Bower 5K At East Park Sept. 12

The Jerry Bower 5K is set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 at East Park on East Road (N.M. 502) in Los Alamos as a benefit for the Alzheimer’s Association and in conjunction with the Los Alamos Alzheimer’s Walk activities.
 
Cost to register is $ 25, which is donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. The first 40 registrants receive a water bottle with an Alzheimer’s logo on it.

Young Life Los Alamos is holding its annual Golf Tournament Sept. 25, at the Los Alamos Municipal Golf Course.
 
Registration begins at noon followed by a 1 p.m. Shotgun Start. Play is best-ball or scramble format. The day’s activity ends with a catered dinner at North Mesa Park. Golfer’s families are invited to join them for dinner at no additional cost.
