JEMEZ SPRINGS  When the Valles Caldera National Preserve opens the summer season May 15, visitors will be greeted with expanded public access plus a more streamlined and cost-effective fee system.

Summer Adventures Available At Girl Scout Camp

The Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails have two Girl Scout camps that they own and operate, Camp Elliott Barker in Angel Fire and Rancho del Chaparral near Cuba.

Last year, nearly 2000 girls attended these summer camps. New this summer is a day camp in Albuquerque. 

Every girl, not only Girl Scouts, in grades 1 through 12 can attend these summer camps. Camp sessions begin May 31 and end Aug. 5. There is a camp session for everyone, whether it is horseback riding, art, cooking, rock climbing or other.

VADITO After wrapping up the most successful winter in resort history earlier this month, Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort announced today that the ski resort will build a new chairlift this summer.
