Hilltopper Boys Basketball Team Loses To Mesa Vista 44-62

The Los Alamos High School Topper boys basketball team won its game against the Academy for Technology and Classics [Santa Fe] played Thursday night in Griffith Gymnasium.

The Toppers started slow and trailed for much of the first half, but improved their shooting in the second half and pulled away to win 51-40.

9th Annual Atomic City Winter Classic Adult Ice Hockey Tournament Friday Jan. 23 Through Sunday Jan. 25

Desert Sol Inline & Hockey is hosting the 9th Annual Atomic City Winter Classic Adult Ice Hockey Tournament.

The tournament runs from 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23 through 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25 in the Los Alamos County Ice Rink.

This year’s tournament features three divisions of four teams each:

  •  Advanced;
  • Intermediate; and
  • Novice Divisions.

New Mexico Activities Association’s 2026-2028 Classification And Alignment Brings Changes To Los Alamos High School Athletics

The New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) classification and alignment for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 school years has brought a few changes to the Los Alamos High School (LAHS) athletics schedules.

LAHS football is competing in District 1-5A, along with Capital High School, Cibola High School, Highland High School, Los Lunas High School, Miyamura High School, Piedra Vista High School and Santa Fe High School.

“Over the last few years, Hilltopper football has proven to be one of the best teams in the state,” Athletic Director Guy Meyer said. Read More

Tonight’s Topper Girls Basketball Game Postponed

LAHS News:

Tonight’s Los Alamos High School girls’ basketball games vs. Valencia High School have been postponed as a precaution due to the weather forecast. The safety of the athletes and fans is a number one priority.

The games are rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 9. The freshmen will play at 4 p.m., followed by JV at 5:30 p.m. and Varsity at 7 p.m.

The Los Alamos High School Hilltoppers boys Topper basketball team played host to the Belen Eagles Monday night in Griffith Gymnasium. The Toppers fell behind early in the game, unable to close the gap.
