Cade Van Etten, 9, loves to go fast. Since he first mounted a snowboard at 3.5 years of age, Cade has been in love with the sport.

Keeping up with his two older siblings was his first challenge. “He’s not the kind of kid that likes to be left behind,” Cade’s dad, David Van Etten said.

Since moving to a larger facility at 278-A DP Road last year, Mesa Elite Fitness/CrossFit Los Alamos has grown to include 10 coaches, seven of whom are CrossFit Level 1 Trainers, including a CrossFit Weightlifting Coach. Registration Opens For Jemez Mountain Trail Races Half Marathon

Los Alamos High School football player Peter Brewer has accepted a partial scholarship to play football for the University of Montana Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies are a perennial Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) power, more commonly known as Division 1-AA. The Los Alamos Aquatomics, along with Northern Aquatic Club and Taos Swim Club, hosted the LA Winter Invitational this past weekend at the Larry R. Walkup Aquatic Center.
