Los Alamos High School volleyball is playing Santa Fe High School tonight, Oct. 24.
The team is asking fans to dress in pink in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Los Alamos High School boys golf team takes 4th place with a 385. Raul Roybal shot 78 and earned his 2nd individual qualifying leg towards state.

The Los Alamos High School boys and girls golf teams will travel to Albuquerque Country Club Monday Oct. 22, to compete in the Bosque High School Invitational, with a 12:30 p.m. tee off time.
This is the last tournament of the fall season. The team will take November and December off and in mid-January begin their indoor training.
The spring season usually kicks off the first week of March, weather permitting, and includes four tournaments before the district championship, which is the first Monday in May.

Los Alamos High School finished 2nd place Monday, Oct. 15 for the Director’s Cup.
LAHS finished behind Albuquerque Academy for the 2011-12 school year.
The New Mexico Activities Association awards a Director’s Cup to the top school. Second and 3rd place winners are awarded plaques.
Schools receive points for how each of their sport teams finish in district and state as well as points for Activities that are sponsored by the NMAA.

The Topper boys and girls golf teams are playing in the Hobbs Fall Invitational being co-hosted with Santa Fe High School today. The LAHS Girls Golf Team took First Place with a 386 today. When rolling papers and a plastic baggy were discovered in a Los Alamos High School (LAHS) student’s car, it resulted in a month-long suspension and removal from LAHS’s football team for a year.
Whether Los Alamos Public Schools responded to this situation correctly was debated during the school board meeting Tuesday night.
After hearing several presentations made by student and football player Grant Washburn, his family, coach and one of his teachers, the school board voted 3-2 to overturn the Washburn’s expulsion from the football team.
