While on an Alaskan cruise Saturday, Los Alamos Daily Post photographer/videographer Nate Limback had the opportunity to sail next to an active US Navy Virginia Class SSN attack submarine. But in reality, oftentimes we are obsessed with what we love or hate to hear or see, and are very much driven by a one way channel of thinking to arrive at our preconfigured conclusion.

County-Pajarito Astronomers Dark Night At Spirio Soccer Fields At Overlook Park Tonight!

Los Alamos County Parks, Recreation and Open Space Divisions have partnered up with the Pajarito Astronomers for the Dark Night program.

Anyone with an interest in star gazing and the chance to look through a telescope is invited to come out to Spirio Soccer Fields tonight, July 15, at Overlook Park in White Rock.

Volunteers from the Pajarito Astronomers Club will be present with telescopes starting about 8:30 p.m.  until at least 11 p.m., and as late as midnight if there is continued interest.

Asian Manufacturer Selects New Mexico For Expansion

SANTA TERESA — The New Mexico Economic Development (EDD) announced Monday that a major Asian auto-parts supplier will be constructing a factory in New Mexico’s Santa Teresa Borderplex and hiring 350 employees.
