NMSA Presents ‘House Of Bernarda Alba’ Nov. 5-7

SANTA FE  New Mexico School for the Arts’ Theater Department is excited to present acclaimed poet, playwright, and director Federico Garcia Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba as its second theatrical production this fall.
 
Directed by NMSA Theater Instructor Elizabeth Wiseman, the play will run Nov. 5-7 at Warehouse 21.
 
Written in 1936, The House of Bernarda Alba is a precautionary tale inspired by the rise of Franco’s dictatorship in Spain.

FBI On Nationwide Human Trafficking Operation

Officials from the FBI announced Tuesday the recovery of 149 underage trafficking victims and the arrest of more than 150 pimps in a nationwide human trafficking operation conducted throughout the United States last week.
 
The initiative, dubbed Operation Cross Country IX, is a national effort spearheaded by the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, along with state and local law enforcement partners across the country.

It was already dark when the chain fell off Robert Joseph Miller’s bike. He was riding from Los Alamos to Gallup, just 15 miles past Cuba. He was already so worn out that setting up the tent seemed like a lot of work.
