Atomic Follies Hosts Back-To-School Cabaret Aug. 19

ATOMIC FOLLIES News:

It’s that time of year and Back-to-School Atomic Follies style will get the community back on track!

Join the follies 7-10 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Los Alamos Little Theatre’s Performing Arts Center. Follow along as college freshmen get acquainted with their new school and learn all about their mascot, the Fighting Toadstool, at the new student orientation.

Presented by The Atomic Follies, this back-to-school-themed cabaret includes a variety of live performances including music provided by The Atomic Follies Band.

Fire Ignites In San Pedro Parks Wilderness

LARSO To Host 8-Ball Tournament Friday Aug. 11

The Los Alamos Retirement and Senior Organization (LARSO) is hosting an 8-Ball Tournament 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Aug. 11. All ages are welcome to participate. Registration is required by 8:30 a.m. on the morning of the event. Call 505.662-8920 to reserve a spot.

Both the Betty Ehart Senior Center in Los Alamos and the White Rock Senior Center have billiard tables.  Billiards is a favorite pastime of people of all ages. At the centers the games are played casually and for social purposes. Anyone can learn and continue to play throughout their lives.
