FBI: Woman Pleads Guilty To Assault With Dangerous Weapon

FBI News:

ALBUQUERQUE — A Prewitt, N.M. woman pleaded guilty to stabbing a man during a dispute. According to court documents, on Jan. 6, 2026, Naomi Martinez, 24, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, kicked and stabbed John Doe in the face, head and neck with a kitchen knife, causing serious bodily harm.

Martinez pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon and faces up to 10 years in prison at sentencing.

The 4th of July is almost here, and Los Alamos County is ready to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. This year’s 4th of July Spectacular will take place 4-10 p.m. Saturday at Overlook Park in White Rock.

Important items to note for this year’s 4th of July Spectacular Event:

The Main event location will be Dara Jones Soccer Field, not Spiro Field;

Spirio Field is closed to pedestrians and spectators;
