Los Alamos County Atomic City Transit announces temporary bus stop closures for asphalt repair: #565 Club Road, #564 and #565 Arizona Avenue.
This closure will affect Route 5 Barranca Mesa.
The closure is anticipated to last through Thursday, Dec. 9. Riders are asked to use bus stops #561 and #562 to the Transit Center.

Road Patching Work In Los Alamos County Begins Monday

Asphalt and concrete patching will begin Monday, Dec. 6 in various areas of Los Alamos and White Rock.
The Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets Division will conduct a mobile patching operation with minor traffic controls as they move throughout the county.
The work will occur Monday through Friday, weather permitting, for several weeks until all necessary repairs have been made.

Los Alamos County Recreation staff have been building up the ice and painting the lines at the Los Alamos County Ice Rink at 4475 West Road.
Built in 1936, the ice rink is now open for its 85th season with new upgrades and fun upcoming events. Upgrades include new locker rooms and more ADA friendly features.
The Ice Rink will continue to offer ice skating lessons and a place for Los Alamos Hockey Association to practice and play hockey.

The sidewalk and bicycle lane will be closed 9-11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, in front of the New Mexico Department of Health Office at 1183 Diamond Dr.

New Mexico COVID-19 Update Dec. 3: 2,388 New Cases, Totaling 320,520 With 14 New Deaths And 269,417 Recovered

SANTA FE — New Mexico state health officials Monday announced 2,388 additional COVID-19 cases today.
Los Alamos County reports 9 new cases today, bringing the total to 935 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)
This update includes 14 new deaths today in New Mexico related to COVID-19 and a 7-Day positivity rate of 14.1 percent.
Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are:
- 801 new cases in Bernalillo County
- 3 new cases

County DPU Survey Will Assess Natural Gas Awareness

Automated phone surveys will go out to a random group of utility customers next week.
The Department of Public Utilities (DPU) is conducting the survey for five days between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. starting Monday, Dec. 6.

Staffing Changes To Los Alamos District Court

SANTA FE — The District Court Clerk’s Office in Los Alamos will no longer be open one day a week. The change in operations took effect Dec. 1.
The Los Alamos Magistrate Court Clerk’s Office will remain open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and is open during the lunch hour.
District Court filings for Los Alamos County cases can be submitted by email and are accepted in-person at the District Court in Santa Fe.
