Letter To The Editor: Brush And Weeds Aren’t Only Things People Leave On Sidewalks

By CHRISTINE WEAVER
Los Alamos

I appreciate the information about keeping sidewalks clear of brush and weeds. However; these aren’t the only things people leave on sidewalks.

My dog and I walk every morning in the area around Urban Park and people leave the large trash bins, kids’ basketball stands, and even cars protruding from their driveways on the sidewalk. It means that we have to walk into the street to get around. Sometimes it’s on a curve and drivers can’t see us until the last minute.

I’m not sure if there’s an ordinance for these obstructions

Daisy’s big, floppy Coonhound ears are the absolute cutest! Although she has the lovely voice of a hound, Daisy does not sing to excess. She will need an active family that enjoys jogging, hiking, and exercising her regularly. Once she’s gotten her exercise for the day, she would love to curl up with you for some cuddles.
