I have no idea what that means, but it sure sounds expensive!
Yes, I get it: asking a company to come up with a community brand can be a risky endeavor. It certainly was a costly one, so I understand that the County Council may have been somewhat reluctant to admit at a public meeting that the out-of-town consulting firm’s community-marketing slogan was astoundingly bad.

Aquatic Center Closes For In-service Day May 17
COUNTY News:
The Larry R. Walkup Aquatic Center at 2760 Canyon Road in Los Alamos will be closed Saturday, May 17 for its annual staff in-service training.
This year, the staff will re-certify in the American Red Cross Lifeguard certification and Bloodborne Pathogens Training and thanks the community for its patience during this closure time.

Hero is a 10-year-old black male cat recently surrendered with his dog buddy Wriggs when his family moved. He is very mellow and sweet and loves attention – a volunteer noted that he had a hard time standing still at his food bowl because he was so content that he was kneading bread and trying to eat at the same time.
Hero recently had to have some teeth pulled, but now his mouth is nice and clean with no more fish breath. Because he has a few less teeth, he prefers to eat wet food sometimes, but he can still eat dry food.

The Los Alamos County Council will host the official grand opening and re-dedication of Ashley Pond Park at 4 p.m. Friday, May 9 at the park’s concert stage. Council Adopts $191 Million FY2015 Budget
Los Alamos County Council voted 5-2 this evening to adopt a $191,378,802 million FY2015 budget. The budget includes several modifications including $250,000 added to economic development for broadband connection for businesses, a 1 percent increase for County salaries, and a 15 percent pay raise as allowed by the state for all elected officials. Rocky, a recently surrendered Terrier mix remains a little nervous, but is slowly warming up to the shelter environment.
He has been groomed by Diana Norwood of “Yours Truly Diana’s,” and looks like a brand new dog. He has his summer cut and is ready for fun in the sun with a brand new family.
Rocky has been enjoying the company of some of the shelter dogs, particularly Wriggs, and he would probably enjoy a canine friend to hang out with while his humans are away. Read More
