Meow Wolf And Saint Arnold Celebrate Houston With Outdoor Block Party For 713 Day

HOUSTON, TX — Meow Wolf Houston and Saint Arnold Brewing Company are teaming up to throw a neighborhood-sized celebration for 713 Day. From 12–4 p.m., Sunday, July 13 the two Fifth Ward neighbors will transform the block into a free outdoor party filled with live music, art, performances, and newly activated portals.

SANTA FE — The Santa Fe Opera announces dramatic baritone and former Santa Fe Opera Apprentice singer Michael Chioldi will sing the title role in Rigoletto, replacing Spanish baritone Gerardo Bullón, who has withdrawn for personal reasons.

The production opens July 12 and runs for seven performances through Aug. 20. A co-production with Irish National Opera and Opera Zuid, Chioldi recently performed the role at the Irish National Opera to critical acclaim.

Regardless of what life throws at us, it usually feels better to laugh about it.

With that in mind, David Zimmerman will present what he calls “The Lighter Side of MS: A Comedic Take on Diminishing Capabilities” at 1 p.m. Thursday in the classroom at the Los Alamos Senior Activity Center.

He will also present the same show at 1 p.m. Friday in the studio at the White Rock Senior Activity Center.

Every second Saturday of the month, the White Rock Branch Library is showing a family-friendly film. This Saturday, July 12, families are invited to participate in crafts, eat popcorn and watch Mufasa: The Lion King.

Arrive at the library at 2 p.m. with the whole family to get started on a movie-themed craft. The movie runs 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the meeting room.
