Resource Event Held For Job Corps Participants Affected By Federal Funding Cut

ALBUQUERQUE — In response to the federal government’s decision to close the JobCorps program nationwide, the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS), alongside state, local, and community-based organization partners, held a dual-site resource event in Albuquerque and Roswell for Job Corps participants. DP Road Phase II Reconstruction Project Work Activities Today

TLC Plumbing & Utility, under contract with Los Alamos County to construct the DP Road Phase II Reconstruction project, will be performing road grading today, June 7, near the Los Alamos County Fire Department Training Center.

The work will require one-lane closures with flaggers present to direct traffic. Access will be maintained during this work.

Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians are advised to use caution around construction activities and avoid entering the work zones.

Concrete Pour At East Park Basketball Court Friday

COUNTY News:

Weather permitting, Los Alamos Landscaping & More, under contract with the Los Alamos County Parks Division, will conduct a post-tension slab concrete pour for the East Park basketball court Friday, June 6.

Work is scheduled to begin at 4 a.m. and will continue throughout the day until approximately 10 p.m.

The new concrete slab will replace the existing surface, which has deteriorated over time due to wear and weather exposure. A post-tension slab is designed to reduce future cracking and increase durability, resulting in a longer-lasting surface better suited to year-round Read More
