Lady Toppers Defeat Taos Tigers 39-24

The Los Alamos High School Lady Hilltoppers hosted the Lady Tigers from Taos in a conference game Thursday night in Griffith Gymnasium. The teams were well-matched so the lead changed hands several times and resulted in a low-scoring game due to strong defense by both teams. The Toppers improved their shooting in the second half to and pulled away to win the contest 39-24. The hero of the game was Javaya Davison because she not only dominated the rebounds at both ends of the court, but she also scored 22 points, making her the high-scoring player of the game. Los Alamos County Assessor Reminds Business Owners Of Personal Property Reporting Requirements Due By Feb. 28

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Assessor would like to confirm for local business owners that their annual Business Personal Property Declaration (BPP) forms were mailed out the last week of December 2025.

The purpose of these forms is to notify business owners of their current depreciated assets on file and to remind them of the statutory requirement to report to the Assessor any personal property they might be depreciating through the course of their business.

All required filings must be submitted no later than the last day of February per Section 7-38-8 NMSA 1978 of the state statute. Read More

County Issues Traffic Advisory On Crane Transport Through Town To Los Alamos Golf Course Set For Monday

As part of the HVAC upgrade project at the Los Alamos Golf Course Clubhouse, a 50-ton crane will travel through town on Monday, Feb. 23.

The crane’s route will follow N.M. 502/East Road to Trinity Drive and Diamond Drive, arriving at 4244 Diamond Dr. Movement is scheduled between noon and 1 p.m. Monday.
