LALT Issues Casting Call for ‘Stones in His Pockets’

LALT News:

Los Alamos Little Theatre announces auditions for “Stones in His Pockets” by Marie Jones, directed by Chris Monteith and produced by Jess Cullinan.

Auditions are 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 9 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, March 11 in the Green Room at the LALT Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar St.

While the play is written for two men to perform all 15 characters, the director is not ruling out the possibility of casting a woman in one of these slots.

Ashley Pond Park ADA Ramp Excavation Begins Today Near Central Avenue and Bathtub Row

As part of the Ashley Pond Park improvements project, County Parks crews will begin excavation for the ADA ramp near the intersection of Central Avenue and Bathtub Row today, March 4.

A morning fire destroyed the chapel of the New Beginnings Fellowship Church at 112 East Road in Los Alamos last July 4. 

The blaze left a burned out shell of a building. One firefighter was injured battling the flames that had traveled up into the building’s rafters.

There were unusual circumstances surrounding the fire and a state fire marshal was called in to investigate the cause.
