Come to PEEC at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 to hear about the Biological Resource Management Program at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Chuck Hathcock will talk about the Lab’s compliance with environmental laws and the plan to protect sensitive species found on Lab property.

First Annual Teddy Bear Clinic Underway

The Los Alamos Medical Center will be hosting their ”First Annual Teddy Bear Clinic” on the morning of Oct. 12, 2012.  Approximately 350 kindergartners, their teachers and parent chaperones will have the opportunity to tour most areas of the hospital in order to learn about our hospital it’s departments all while gaining a comfort level within a hospital setting.  With the help of Care Flight and Los Alamos Police and Fire Departments the students will also have the opportunity to tour Helicopters, Police Cars and Ambulances,’ all of which are key factors Read More

LAHS Hosts First Blood Drive Since 2010

Student Nicole Howze and Los Alamos Police Cpl. Jordan Redmond participate in Monday’s first blood drive hosted by Los Alamos High School since 2010. Nineteen donors gave blood iduring the 2010 event while 44 staff and students participated in Monday’s drive, collectively donating 52 units of blood.
