After more than a decade of bringing people together through ceramics, the Los Alamos Community Ceramics (LACC) is beginning a new chapter with its move from its longtime home at Fuller Lodge to a new studio at 2101 Trinity Drive, Suite Q1, Los Alamos. LACC is grateful for the many years at Fuller Lodge, where members of the community first envisioned creating a clay cooperative, and for Little Studio on the Mesa where a satellite White Rock Studio was housed for the past year. Yury Krivoshein grew up in a musical suburb of Moscow, picked up a guitar at 12, and spent his formative years obsessing over Chet Atkins, Mark Knopfler, and Pink Floyd. By the time he was a working musician, he was playing in Russia’s oldest rockabilly band, doing session work for film and radio, and living what he describes as a successful career. Los Alamos National Laboratory’s (LANL) Spring Food Drive benefiting The Food Depot runs now through April 16.

New this year, the Laboratory invites community members to contribute, too. Friday, April 10, community members may drop off food donations at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3700 Canyon Road in Los Alamos. Participants can drive through the parking lot and drop off their donations. Lab volunteers will help unload.
