LALT Auditions For ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ April 8, 10, 12

LALT News:
Los Alamos Little Theatre (LALT) invites the public to take part in perhaps William Shakespeare’s most enjoyed comedy, “Much Ado About Nothing”. a timeless tale of love and mischief that has delighted audiences since its premiere in 1604.
Auditions for the show will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday, April 8 and 10, as well as at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar St. If necessary, callbacks will be held during the following week at a time that will be determined shortly. Taos County Sheriffs Recover Body Of Los Alamos Man Beneath Rio Grande Gorge Bridge

The Taos County Sheriff’s Office reports that it recovered the body of Chad Maestas, 19, of Los Alamos, on Sunday beneath the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge.

The report indicates that Maestas jumped from the bridge.

Taos County Sheriff Steve Miera said that Maestas made two passes, circled around, and when security tried to intercept him, he got out of his vehicle and jumped over the bridge railing.

The Jemez Mountain Fire Protection Project is in full swing this summer—and the work happening on our mountain right now is the reason next winter is going to look very different around here.

New snowmaking infrastructure. More days on the hill. A Pajarito that’s built to last.

New Seed Fund Established To Benefit Los Alamos Historical Society—Community Donations Accepted

Local documentarian and author Dean Decker has spent more than a decade researching and documenting Los Alamos places and history, so it is no surprise that he is creating a fund to benefit the Los Alamos Historical Society.

“Los Alamos history is of course fascinating. So much has already been written about the science of the Manhattan Project. Los Alamos High School’s Robotics Team 4153, “Project Y”, has been hard at work since January designing and building a custom robot to compete in FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) district events.  Led by CEO John Kang, Project Y competed twice recently in both Fort Worth and Amarillo, Texas, and earned the District Points and ranking status to advance to the FIRST in Texas District Championships.
