This week I have seen numerous posts on social media filled with elation about apricots! All have pictures of the velvety fruit in various stages from blossom to small green nugget and can be found all around our region this year. Looks like the growers survived the frost! Apricots!! New Mexico History Museum Invites People To Share Memories Of Notable New Mexico Restaurants

The New Mexico History Museum (NMHM) is asking people with stories about notable New Mexico restaurants to give them a call. Selected stories will become part of a new exhibition showcasing historic or iconic eateries across New Mexico. The exhibition will share firsthand accounts of memorable meals in places as varied as family-owned cafés and 1960s drive-ins to high end landmarks and everybody’s favorite hole-in-the-wall.

Stories will be collected by voicemail recordings.

Lab retirees (and potential retirees) are invited to drop in at the Laboratory Retiree Group (LRG) monthly breakfast social between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 4 at El Parasol, 1903 Central Ave. (Note new location for June meeting)

LRG will pay for attends coffee and tea. Individuals will pay for their breakfast and other drinks.

Cowboy Breakfast Sunday June 2 At Sheriff’s Posse Lodge

The Los Alamos County Sheriff’s Posse is hosting its monthly Cowboy Breakfast this Sunday.

The breakfast is served 7-11 a.m. Sunday, June 2 at the lodge at 650 North Mesa Road.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes:

  • Pancakes – Banana, Blueberry, Chocolate Chip and Plain;
  • Scrambled Eggs;
  • Sausage;
  • Bacon; and
  • Coffee, Tea and Orange Juice.

The price for adults is $10, children 4-10 years of age is $5 and those 0-3 are free.
