The Family YMCA’s Los Alamos Teen Center, located at 475 20th Street, Suite C, Los Alamos, NM, is partnering with the New Mexico School for the Arts to host a free Creative Writing Workshop this from 2–5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28.

ALBUQUERQUE — The New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs today announced the reopening of the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science Saturday, April 4, following a major state-funded renovation that strengthens the museum’s infrastructure and enhances the visitor experience.

The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science (NMMNHS) serves as a key destination for New Mexicans and out-of-state visitors alike, drawing more than 175,000 ticketed visitors during FY 2025. The museum also served approximately 40,000 school children over that same period. Read More

AstroTour [AR]: Indigenous Cosmologies Through Code is a 6-week transdisciplinary youth workshop that fuses augmented reality, coding, and sky observation.

This powerful new collaboration brings together cultural perspectives, space science, and creative technology in partnership with the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture (MIAC) and the Santa Fe Indian School (SFIS).

Mikey Aslam Scholarship Submissions Due Thursday For LAHS Graduating Seniors

The Mikey Aslam Scholarship is due this Thursday for LAHS graduating seniors. Champions of Youth Ambitions (C’YA) oversees the scholarship for the family and applications are being accepted via mail (postmarked by the 27th) or sent by email before midnight.

While many students stress over the letter of support, the C‘YA application simply requests a letter or email from someone that knows them well and can sing their praises. Requirements mostly include some type of community service, volunteer work, church activities, or Scouting.
