NMDWS: New Mexico July Unemployment Rate Was 4%

NMDWS News:

The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) has issued the unemployment data for July 2024.

New Mexico’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.0 percent in July, up from 3.9 percent in June and up from 3.7 percent in the previous year.

The national unemployment rate in July was 4.3 percent, up from 4.1 percent in June and up from 3.5 percent in July 2023.

Total nonagricultural payroll employment grew by 19,200 jobs, or 2.2 percent, between July 2023 and July 2024. The majority of gains came from the private sector.
