Dixon Community Players: ‘Monsters In A Box’ Jan. 20-21

DIXON COMMUNITY PLAYERS News:

The Dixon Community Players presents Jeff Spicer in Spalding Gray’s “Monster in a Box” at 7 p.m. Jan. 20 and 2 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Toolshed, 68 N.M. 75 in Dixon.

Spicer first became aware of Spalding Gray through his video performance in Swimming to Cambodia 30 years ago and became intrigued with him.  He researched him through spoken word CDs and heard the monologue for “Monster in a Box”.

As a result of listening to this monologue more than once, parts of the monologue have been bouncing around in his head for so long he decided to take it onstage.  He contacted the Spalding Read More
