The Los Alamos Music Teachers Association (LAMTA) invites the public to attend its second 2023 Musicale, 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 23 at Fuller Lodge, 2132 Central Ave. in downtown Los Alamos.

Simpatico Opens May 3 At New Mexico Actors Lab

SANTA FE — New Mexico Actors Lab will open its 2023 season Wednesday, May 3 with Simpatico, one of the hidden gems of Sam Shepard’s portfolio of quirky dramas.

The play is an homage to his love of horses, the dark underbelly of racing, and the low-life losers who inhabit it. The production will run through Sunday, May 21.

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Film Office (NMFO) is partnering with Stowe Story Labs to provide the second edition of “New Voices New Mexico”, the training program for emerging New Mexican screenwriters.

Los Alamos Kite Festival Returns May 19-21, 2023

The Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) is hard at work planning for its annual Kite Festival in 2023.

After a multi-year hiatus due to pandemic restrictions and last year’s fire emergencies, LAAC is bringing this multi-day event back to Los Alamos County at Overlook Park in White Rock.

Several community organizations will be hosting kite decorating and building workshops with children in the community and April 19, LAAC will host the Paseo Project, from Taos, as they introduce their artist in residence, Jemila McEwan to the after-school programs at Fuller Lodge Art Center.  Read More

NMFO Announces Amazon Original Series ‘Outer Range’ Season Two In Production In New Mexico

SANTA FE New Mexico Film Office (NMFO) Director Amber Dodson announced Wednesday that season two of the Amazon Original television series “Outer Range” has begun filming around Santa Fe and Las Vegas, N.M.

The production will employ more than 2,000 New Mexicans – approximately 2,000 as background talent and 200-300 resident crew members.
