New Mexico Film Office Announces Feature Film ‘The Christmas Classic’ Filmed In New Mexico

SANTA FE — New Mexico Film Office (NMFO) Director Amber Dodson announced Monday that the feature film “The Christmas Classic” from CC Productions was filmed in and around Ruidoso in March.

“The Christmas Classic,” starring Malin Ackerman (“The Proposal”) and Amy Smart (“Just Friends”), directed by Shane Taylor, and produced by Daniel Cummings, is the story of Elizabeth, who returns to her hometown of Ruidoso after living in San Francisco for the past 10 years. LAHS Students Among High School Finalists From Across New Mexico To Perform At Awards Show In Popejoy Hall

Forty high school students from across New Mexico have been named as finalists for four top awards in the biggest celebration of high school theater in the state.

The Enchantment Awards named students from 10 high schools as nominees for their annual show. The students chosen as Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Supporting Actor will be announced during the show in Popejoy Hall at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 28.
