LAAC Daytime Performance Series: Los Alamos Flute Choir

LAAC News:
The Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) will present the December installment of its free Daytime Performance Series, featuring the Los Alamos Flute Choir, noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the Pajarito Room at Fuller Lodge.
Composed entirely of musicians from the Los Alamos and White Rock communities, the ensemble brings together a group of people from a range of backgrounds. Musicians in the group are scientists, engineers, teachers, volunteers and parents, all united by their shared passion for music.

Limited Tickets Remaining For Home Alone & Hot Chocolate With PEEC Dec. 13

PEEC News:

Kick off the holiday season with a cozy evening at the Los Alamos Nature Center Planetarium onfrom 4:30–6:30 p.m., Saturday, December 13, with a screening of the beloved holiday classic Home Alone and a festive hot chocolate bar. Registration is almost full!

The hot chocolate bar opens at 4 p.m., followed by the movie at 4:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to wear holiday sweaters (or even pajamas and slippers) to fully embrace the festive spirit.

Gary’s Gay Parita: A view of the front of the gas station at Gary’s Gay Parita reveals just a sampling of what visitors will see while roaming around the grounds of the station. The original gas station burned in 1955 and business ceased. Gary Turner and some relatives constructed this replica Sinclair station in 2003.
