VADITO — Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort welcomed guests as winter made its first appearance in Northern New Mexico. The resort opened Lift 2 and welcomed skiers and riders to experience their first tracks of the winter.

Gilman Tunnels Closed To Public Dec. 1 & 2 For Critical Rock Stabilization Work

SANTA FE — Access to the Gilman Tunnels via Forest Road 376 will be prohibited for both motorized and non-motorized traffic on Dec. 1 & 2 to conduct critical rock stabilization work. For public safety and to allow crews to complete their work on time, the public is asked to avoid the area during the closure period.

This stabilization work involves eliminating the immediate rock fall danger as well as stabilizing the rock cliffs surrounding the tunnels.
