Los Alamos Medical Center earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog that sets standards for excellence in patient care.

Polls Have Closed But Due To Escalating COVID & Flu Cases No Election Return Watching At Municipal Building

County Clerk News:

The Polls closed at 7 p.m. today but due to escalating COVID-19 and flu cases in the community, there will not be a room set up to watch election returns in the Los Alamos County Municipal Building.

The County Clerk’s Office will email candidates and local party chairs these results as they become available, with a running total of the sites being reported, which will be noted at the top of the document.

The Los Alamos Daily Post will publish the returns as they become available. Also, as required by law, results tapes will be posted outside each Vote Center for review.

LALT Cancels ‘Reefer Madness’ This Weekend Due To Illness

Due to illness among the cast, Los Alamos Little Theatre has canceled this weekend’s performances of “Reefer Madness”. The show’s production team is following CDC guidance to ensure a safe and healthy opening next weekend.
 
Those who have purchased tickets will be contacted by LALT in order to receive a refund or to change the date. They may also email producer@lalt.org with questions.
 
Performances are planned to continue the next two weekends, at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 10-18, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Nov. 12.

The Los Alamos County Health Council (LACHC), in collaboration with County Social Services, is developing a Los Alamos County Comprehensive Health Plan (CHP).
