Military Completes Latest COVID Medical Response Mission

U.S. ARMY News:

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The last of the 68 military COVID-19 medical response teams that deployed beginning August 2021, completed their mission Tuesday at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City.

The 68 teams, comprised of approximately 1,275 military personnel, supported 62 hospitals in 59 cities across 30 states including New Mexico and the Navajo Nation.

We recently lost our little dog Roxi to old age. In the past few days, I have been thinking about the innocence and joy that was the essence of her soul and felt compelled to write my weekly column as a tribute to her and all of the animals who live among us.

Thursday, the CDC released its weekly update to the COVID-19 community level map. The CDC framework designates community level based on diagnoses and hospitalization levels (link). Masks are recommended indoors in counties with the highest (red) community level.
