No Curative Testing For COVID On Thanksgiving Day

COUNTY News:

Curative Shallow Nasal Swab Testing – regularly available 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday in Los Alamos will not be available Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25.

Los Alamos County officials recommend planning ahead and visiting the Curative website to schedule an alternate date/time: https://curative.com.

Pfizer Vaccine Clinic For Ages 5-11 Set For Nov. 22

COUNTY News:

The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) is administering the Pfizer vaccine for children 5-11 years old, 1-4 p.m. Monday Nov. 22, at the First Baptist Church at 2200 Diamond Dr.

Appointments are required and NMDOH has set up instructions at https://vaccinenm.org/kids for parents to register dependent children for the vaccine.

Parents/Guardians should schedule appointments and download consent forms. Use the event code ESVLGNF when registering.

Appointment holders for the clinic are reminded to:

New Mexico COVID-19 Update Nov. 13-15: 3,712 New Cases, Totaling 295,767 With 22 New Deaths And 254,476 Recovered

SANTA FE — New Mexico state health officials announced 3,712 additional COVID-19 cases from Nov. 13-15 and a 7-Day positivity rate of 12.9 percent.

Los Alamos County reports 11 new cases between Nov. 13 and 15, bringing the total to 855 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

This update includes 22 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

NMALSD: Online State Conference Nov. 17-18

NMALSD News:

The New Mexico Aging And Long-Term Services Department (NMALSD) will host a virtual state conference, Nov. 17 and 18.

During the conference, local providers will host information booths 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at the Betty Ehart Senior Center at 1101 Bathtub Row.

The conference is free to all New Mexico residents.

Computers will be available for community members to watch the conference at the Betty Ehart Senior Center and the White Rock Senior Center at 137 Longview Dr.
