C’YA Reaches $600 In ‘Fill The Needle’ Campaign

Champions of Youth Ambitions (C’YA) has reached the $600 mark, in donations received for its ‘Fill the Needle’ campaign to raise $1,000 to recognize Nambe Pharmacy in the COVID-19 Heroes project. The campaign is striving to collect $1 donations for every vaccination shot given in the community. If C’YA exceeds its $1,000 goal (to purchase an inscribed  paver at the American Pharmacy Foundation, additional donations will supply resources to those in need. New Mexico COVID-19 Update: 188 New Cases, Totaling 207,189 With 7 New Deaths And 195,954 Recovered

STATE News:

SANTA FE — New Mexico state health officials announced 188 additional COVID-19 cases Friday.

Los Alamos County reports zero new cases so the total remains 546 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

This update includes 7 new deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

Per the state Department of Health, the most recent cases are: 

  • 45 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 4 new cases in Chaves County
  • 1 new case in Cibola County
  • 3 new cases in Colfax County

First Born Program of Los Alamos (FBPLA) has expanded its support of families prenatally now up to the child’s 5th birthday.

NMDOH/NMPED: Back-To-School Pharmacy Partnership

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) and Public Education Department (NMPED) today announced a partnership with local pharmacies to provide back-to-school COVID-19 vaccinations for students 12 years and older. 

Participating pharmacies have committed to giving free COVID vaccines without appointments from July 15 to Aug. 15.
