SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials today announced 268 additional COVID-19 cases.
Los Alamos County reports 1 new case today bringing the total to 487 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

Today’s update includes 6 more deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.

The New Mexico Department of Health reports today’s most recent cases:

  • 95 new cases in Bernalillo County

On The Job In Los Alamos: LAVNS Selling Daffodils

On the job in Los Alamos today is Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Services (LAVNS) Office Manager Jade Lovato, left, and Executive Director Wendi Wolfe selling daffodil arrangements in front of Starbucks on Central Avenue as part of the annual LAVNS daffodil sale. Proceeds from the sale support the LAVNS Hospice Program for terminally ill individuals. Local Gyms Strive To Meet Fitness Needs During Pandemic

Despite Wednesday’s announcement that the New Mexico Department of Health put Los Alamos in the turquoise on its statewide COVID map, local fitness centers are in a balancing act between satisfying people’s fitness needs and keeping customers safe.

To meet both needs, the Family YMCA, 1450 Iris St., has gotten creative by offering both in-person and virtual fitness classes.
