Los Alamos JJAB To Host 20th Anniversary Community Celebration Sept. 14 At Ashley Pond Park

Los Alamos JJAB has announced its 20th Anniversary Community Celebration, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sept. 14 at Ashley Pond Park.

The event will celebrate the organization’s successes and community involvement. It will include free activities such as a bounce house and obstacle course, laser tag, inflatable axe throwing and 3-ball, lawn games, a DJ and prizes.

FOSCA To Host Pancake Breakfast At Posse Lodge Sept. 1

Friends of Shelter and Companion Animals (FOSCA) will be hosting the Sept. 1 Pancake Breakfast, courtesy of the Posse Lodge.

The breakfast will be served 7-11 a.m. at the Posse Lodge on North Mesa. The menu includes, scrambled eggs, pancakes (plain, blueberry, banana and chocolate chip), and bacon and sausage, as well as orange juice and coffee. The cost is just $10 and only $5 for kids under 5, and this is an all you care to eat breakfast!

Los Amigos De Valles Caldera Seeking Bookstore Volunteers For 2024 Fall Fiesta

Los Amigos de Valles Caldera News:

The Los Amigos De Valles Caldera is seeking volunteers to take a shift or two at either of the two bookstore locations during the Valles Caldera National Preserve 2024 Fall Fiesta’s nine day event.

The bookstore manager will train volunteers in using the sales system and also how to stock the store with inventory.

Hours needing volunteers:

  • Between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the Entrance Station; and
  • Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Ranger Station in the historic district.
