Los Alamos Jewish Center Concert To Benefit LA Cares

Touring balladeer and songwriter Daniel Boling will perform Aug. 31 at the Los Alamos Jewish Center for a free concert benefiting Los Alamos’ local food pantry LA Cares.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the concert is 6-7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served after the concert. Additionally, at the end of the evening, the public is invited to attend havdalah, the brief, weekly ritual of spices, braided candle, and wine which marks the end of the Jewish Sabbath.

Free Bolero Dancing And Lessons At BESC Starting Aug. 5

Every Monday (except County holidays) from 7-9 p.m. everyone is welcome to free ballroom dancing and lessons at the Betty Ehart Senior Center Center.

This is a Los Alamos County Activity organized by Terry Goodwin and Selmo Jaramillo. Every month they focus on a particular ballroom dance, and in August the focus is bolero.
