ScienceFest At SALA: A Day Of Immersive STEM Exploration

The SALA Events Center announces ScienceFest at SALA, a day dedicated to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities, taking place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 13.

Cowboy Breakfast At Sheriff’s Posse Lodge Sunday July 7

Sheriff’s Posse News:

The Los Alamos County Sheriff’s Posse is hosting its monthly Cowboy Breakfast this Sunday, July 7.

The breakfast is served 7-11 a.m. at the lodge at 650 North Mesa Road.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes:

  • Pancakes – Banana, Blueberry, Chocolate Chip and Plain;
  • Scrambled Eggs;
  • Sausage;
  • Bacon; and
  • Coffee, Tea and Orange Juice.

The price for adults is $10, children 4-10 years of age $5 and those 0-3 are free.

Los Alamos County To Host 4th Of July Spectacular

The 4th of July is this Thursday and Los Alamos County is ready for the event! The 4th of July Spectacular will be held 4-10 p.m. at Overlook Park in White Rock.

The day of entertainment begins at 4 p.m. with the Los Alamos Community Winds, who have been a staple of the 4th of July and feature many of the area’s best classically trained musicians. Then, the  afternoon gets going with music from DJ Optamystic.

Day Camp Comes To Bethlehem Church July 29-Aug. 2

A fun week of Day Camp is coming to Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church July 29 to Aug. 2, 2024. Day Camp involves five days of Christian Day Camping for youth in grades Pre-K through 6 th grade (in the fall).

The Day Camp runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day, except Friday, which runs 9-10:30 a.m. The cost for the week is only $50 for the first child and $25 for each additional child in the family, and this covers all activities, snacks, supplies, etc. Campers need to bring their own sack lunch on Monday through Thursday.
