Duo Arundo Double Reed Duet At United Church Sunday

The second of three free concerts takes place 4 p.m. Sunday, April 28 at the United Church of Los Alamos.

A gift to the community from Chuck Tallman and Kathy and Bill Landschulz.

The entire community is welcome to attend Duo Arundo Double Reed Duet, and young students interested in music are encouraged as well.

The Los Alamos Film and Culture Festival (LAFCF) Board is pleased to present their inaugural international film festival event, April 28-May 5, 2024, at SALA Event Center, 2551 Central Ave.

The High Desert Winds Santa Fe will present its final concert of the 2023-24 Season, 2 p.m. May 5, 2024, at the St. Francis Auditorium in the New Mexico Museum of Art at 107 W. Palace Ave.

Review: ‘Fun Home’ Shares An Important Story

Despite the name, there isn’t a lot of “fun” in the musical “Fun Home”. The play, which is based on a graphic novel by Alison Bechdel, focuses on memories from Alison’s childhood and early adulthood that mainly center on her father, Bruce Bechdel.

Bruce was an English teacher, home renovator and funeral parlor director – hence the name of the play. The family nicknames the funeral business “fun home”.

Tesuque Casino 3-Day Chili Championships June 21-23, 2024

Tesuque Casino News:

The challenge is on! Tesuque Casino will be the site for the ICS International Chili Society 2024 New Mexico State Chili Championships and Southwest Regional Chili Championships June 21-23, 2024.

The winners of the championships go directly to the World ICS Championships. Santa Fe resident Donna Foley, the 2023 World Champion for Texas Red Chili is entered in the  cookoff.

Tesuque Casino will host an all department Chili Championship on Friday, June 21 to get employees involved. Also, a Northern New Mexico News Media Championship will be held the same day.
