Chamber Hosts Monthly Los Alamos Newcomers Meetup Sponsored By Zia Credit Union @ 5:15 PM Monday

The Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce shares a reminder about the monthly Los Alamos Newcomers Meetup organized by the Chamber and MainStreet and sponsored by Zia Credit Union.

The next meetup is Monday, Jan. 9 at projectY cowork space at 150 Central Park Square.

These meetups are held the first Monday of every month, or the second Monday if there is a holiday.

LALT News:

Los Alamos Little Theatre (LALT) will perform “8x10s: 7 Come 11” Jan. 6-21 at the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar Street.

Shows are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, with a matinee 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15. 

This is the seventh time LALT has offered this format of individual short plays, solicited from local playwrights. 

“If you’re looking for an evening of variety, this is it,” producer John Gustafson said. “We will present eight short plays, most of them comedic and some that are serious, but all offering food for thought.”

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Tourism Department is supporting Picuris Pueblo with the creation of an interpretive center and walking trail through a $50,000 Rural Pathway Program grant.

The grant will support the rehabilitation and expansion of a building that previously served as the Pueblo’s Museum, making way for a new museum, grill, gift shop and artifact storage facility.
