Outlaw Gas Station: During the prohibition era, many establishments secretly began to appear with one product in mind, moonshine. Often these businesses appeared to be legitimate establishments such as a gas station or other common business but moonshine sales were king. Cowboy Breakfast At Sheriff’s Posse Lodge Sunday

Sheriff’s Posse News:

The Los Alamos County Sheriff’s Posse is hosting its monthly Cowboy Breakfast this Sunday, Nov. 2.

The breakfast is served 7-11 a.m. at the Sheriff’s Posse Lodge at 650 North Mesa Road, near the North Mesa Stables.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes:

  • Pancakes – Banana, Blueberry, Chocolate Chip and Plain;
  • Scrambled Eggs;
  • Sausage;
  • Bacon; and
  • Coffee, Tea and Orange Juice.

The price for adults is $10, children 4-10 years of age $5 and those 0-3 are free.

Proceeds this month go to benefit the Los Alamos Sheriff’s Posse, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Read More

Los Alamos Hilltopper Boys & Girls Varsity Soccer Teams To Host Playoff Games Beginning Wednesday At Sullivan Field

The Los Alamos High School Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer teams will host playoff games this week at Sullivan Field.

The Varsity Boys Soccer team garnered the number five seed and will host Silver High School at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29.

The Varsity Girls Soccer team, seeded fourth, have a bye in the first round. They will host the winner of the Tuesday game between Artesia and Goddard this at 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 31.
