Come one, come all to the annual BMES Bobcat Bonanza! The community is welcome. 

There will be many bounce houses, a dunk tank (dunking teachers, possibly some parents), games of all sorts, TWO cake walks, yummy food including cotton candy, popcorn, and pickles, and a very fun appearance from Bailey the Bobcat!

Coming Soon To Step Up Gallery: ‘The Quilt As Art’

Step Up Gallery is will host “The Quilt as Art” with works by members of the Northern New Mexico Quilt Guild (NNMQG.) The exhibit will be on display May 8 through June 4. The public is invited to attend the Opening Reception 2-3:30 p.m. Mother’s Day May 11, with a gallery talk at 2:30 p.m.

Nearly two dozen artists will display work using non-traditional quilting techniques. The artists come from the NNMQG’s mini-groups- the Surface Design and Art Quilt group and the Contemporary group.

Join us as Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op continues its 10th anniversary celebration. From 5-9 p.m., Tuesday, the Tub is hosting a Jazz Night Special featuring the Jazz Project and many jazz alumni. Jazz high school students will play from 5-7 p.m. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Jazz Project high school jazz student program.

The April 29 Mountaineers meeting will feature a talk by Tim Rennick about a backpacking journey along a portion of Steve Roper’s Sierra High Route (SHR).
