County: Code Compliance Survey Open To Everyone

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos community members are encouraged to take a survey currently underway by the Los Alamos County Community Development Department (CDD) and its consultant DPS. 

The survey is specifically seeking input on the County’s Chapter 18 Nuisance Code.

Open until Dec. 27, individuals can access the online survey by visiting the Chapter 18 Nuisance Code Update webpage. CDD officials advise that the survey will work in most browsers with the exception of Internet Explorer.

Los Alamos County Community Development Department (CDD) and DPS Consulting, are in the process of revising Los Alamos Code of Ordinance Chapter 18 Environment Article II Nuisances.

An invitation was mailed Nov. 22 and a reminder notification Dec. 1, to a random sample of 5,400 selected households in Los Alamos and White Rock to provide feedback to CDD and DPS. The invitations included a unique survey link and pin, along with instructions on how to take the survey.

HSD: $1.4 Million In Financial Assistance Funds For New Mexico Low Income Households

SANTA FE — This week more than 3,000 low-income New Mexico households will receive a one-time payment of $452 in emergency financial assistance under an initiative administered by the New Mexico Human Services Department (HSD) in partnership with the Taxation and Revenue Department (Tax & Rev).

The funding for this effort was made possible through an initial $5 million appropriation from the New Mexico Legislature.

Code Compliance Survey Invitations To Be Mailed To 5,000 Los Alamos County Households Nov. 22

Los Alamos County Community Development Department (CDD), using the POLCO civic engagement platform, will launch an open participation survey online seeking feedback on the County Compliance Code.

SFNF: Cut Own Christmas Tree Permits Available Nov. 22

SANTA FE — No need to worry about the predicted Christmas tree shortage this year. All you have to do is purchase a permit to cut your own Christmas tree on the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF). Over-the-phone and online sales will begin Monday, Nov. 22.
