State Announces Emergency Rental Assistance Program

ERAP News:

On behalf of the State of New Mexico, the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) announced that the federal government has allocated $170 million for rental and utility assistance to New Mexico residents in need.

The DFA is spearheading the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) in partnership with the City of Albuquerque, and they need assistance with sharing this program information.

Santa Fe — March brings the first signs of spring to drought-stricken Northern New Mexico landscapes, including warmer temperatures, windy conditions and the potential onset of wildfires.

In a world where protests and counterprotests are becoming more common, a pair of House lawmakers want to keep demonstrators from getting too close for comfort.

House Bill 276, introduced by Rep. Daymon Ely, (D-Albuquerque), and Rep. Jason Harper, (R-Rio Rancho), would make it a misdemeanor for anyone participating in “targeted residential picketing” — carrying signs, making noise, organizing protests — within 100 feet of someone’s home.

New Mexico COVID-19 Update: 318 New Cases, Total Now 182,050 With 19 New Deaths And 128,299 Patients Recovered

STATE News:

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials today announced 318 additional COVID-19 cases.

Los Alamos County reports 1 new case today, bringing the total to 469 people who have tested positive for COVID-19. (County totals are subject to change upon further investigation and determination of residency of individuals positive for COVID-19.)

Today’s update includes 19 more deaths in New Mexico related to COVID-19.
