The recent article covering the report on housing needs in Los Alamo County raises two significant questions in my mind.

First, my wife and I have been acutely aware of the housing crisis in this county, caused by the lack of available land, since we first arrived over three decades ago. The question is: Why are we still paying for studies and surveys to tell us what we already know?

School Starts Thursday … Motorists Urged To Be Extra Cautious In School Zones And Crosswalks

LAPD News:

Los Alamos Public Schools is starting its 2019-2020 school year Thursday, Aug. 15.

This means school buses and numerous juvenile pedestrians and bicyclists will be out on sidewalks and roadways before and after school.

Please be extra cautious in school zones and around crosswalks. Remember to obey traffic laws regarding school buses and speed regulations when school zone signs are flashing: Do not pass school buses with flashing lights and stop arms extended out.
