Update On Multiple Water Leaks On Barranca Mesa And Report Of New Break On Rover Boulevard in White Rock

COUNTY News:

Water crews from the Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities (DPU) are progressing on the repairs to multiple water leaks on Los Pueblos Street on Barranca Mesa. The leaks began Monday afternoon and DPU’s crews have been on-site since then.

Additionally, another water break was reported Tuesday afternoon on Rover Boulevard in White Rock.

Pavement Project To Begin May 15 On 84/285 In Tesuque 

NMDOT News:

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with Brasier Asphalt will begin a 5-mile pavement rehabilitation project that will include new pavement and striping Wednesday, May 15, 2024, on U.S. 84/285 in Tesuque. 

Work will take place from mile marker 173 to 178 and is expected to last 20 working days.

Los Alamos County Public Works Department, the Transportation Board and Community Services Department invite the community to celebrate “Bike to Work” events Thursday, May 16.

Hiking Trail: There were several trails at the LBJ State Park Historic Site where visitors could walk among the large oak, pecan and many other trees seen at the park. The trails around the visitors center led visitors through many fields of wildflowers but the bluebonnets are the stars followed closely by the red Indian paintbrush flowers.
