Traffic Alert: NM-502 Guardrail Maintenance Today

Traffic Alert:

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be conducting guardrail maintenance today, Jan. 29, on NM-502 eastbound of Los Alamos from the bottom of Main Hill Road (mile marker 7) to the bottom of Totavi Hill (mile marker 6).

One lane will be closed.

The project is expected to be completed today.

I miss driving on I-10 in west Texas where there’s an 85 MPH speed limit, so I think I’ll start doing that on the local interstates and roads … and maybe some residential areas. The community is invited to Los Alamos Family Council’s (LAFC) first monthly dinner and a movie fundraiser Tuesday, Feb. 13. The event includes frito pie and a movie at SALA Event Center.

Every month on the Second Tuesday of the month, LAFC will host this dinner and a movie fundraiser. Proceeds will support the programs at the Counseling Center and Youth Activity Centers.

EMNRD’s 2023 Solar Tax Credit Fund Is Nearly Exhausted

SANTA FE — The Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) is alerting New Mexico taxpayers that the fund that supports the New Solar Market Development Tax Credit is nearly exhausted for the 2023 tax year.

This news comes less than three months before the deadline for filing 2023 federal and state tax returns.
