New Mexico State Police Holding Sobriety Checkpoints And Saturation Patrols In Counties Across State In September

NMSP News:

New Mexico State Police (NMSP) will be conducting sobriety checkpoints; saturation patrols; and registration, insurance and driver’s license checkpoints in all New Mexico counties during the month of September 2020.

NMSP is bringing awareness to these events in an effort to reduce alcohol related fatalities through continued media attention and intensive advertising.

Traffic Alert: Mobile Office Transport On Diamond Friday

COUNTY News:

Crews from Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets Department, working in conjunction with local police officers, will assist in the transport of an over-sized mobile office through Los Alamos 9-10 a.m. Friday.

The transport company will be moving the office from the Los Alamos High School onto Diamond Drive, across Los Alamos Canyon Bridge (Omega Bridge) and down N.M. 501 (East Jemez Road) to N.M. 4.

Motorists should be cautious around this oversized load and expect minimal delays along the route. Read More

Traffic Alert: Trinity Drive Between 15th Street And Knecht Has One Eastbound Lane Open

TRAFFIC ALERT

Trinity Drive between 15th Street and Knecht has one eastbound lane open.

The intersection of Trinity Drive and 15th Street is a flashing-red, full four-way stop intersection.

Earlier this evening and unexpectedly, eastbound Trinity Drive between 15th St. and Knecht Street was closed due to unforeseen circumstances involving the Natural Grocers tie into the County’s water, natural gas and sewer systems on Trinity Drive.

NMDOT worked with the Natural Grocers contractor to resolve the situation. The contractor hopes to get Trinity Drive fully open Thursday morning.

Reminder: New Mexico Department Of Transportation Will Remove Campaign Signs Posted On State Road Right-Of-Ways

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Transportation reminds residents and candidates and campaigns that state law prohibits any person from placing, maintaining or displaying any unauthorized sign upon any highway.
