The North Central Regional Transit District’s RTD “Blue Bus” will not be in service Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

The exception will be the 255 Mountain Trail route into the Santa Fe National Forest, which is operating as a reservation-only service due to COVID.

No doubt we all shake our heads at the news once in a while … or maybe daily … or maybe even whenever we open a news website. Scanning the news this weekend, one might have caught a couple of stories that would have elicited such disbelief. First, two young men arrested for shooting at a state police officer while evading a traffic stop. Uhhhh … not the brightest idea, lads. The Los Alamos Women’s Day Class of Community Bible Study is excited to announce that the 2020-21 class year will begin the week of Sept. 14.

Usually each CBS class chooses which study it will complete during a class year, but to celebrate the 45th anniversary of this international ministry, the entire North American branch of CBS will be studying the Gospel of John. U.S. Transportation Secretary Announces Approximately $1.2 Million To Eight Tribal Governments For COVID-19 Response

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announced Friday approximately $1.2 million in recent grant awards to eight tribal governments, including the Tesuque Pueblo, Jicarilla Apache Nation and Pueblo of Pojoaque.

These awards are part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act signed by President Donald J. Trump March 27, 2020.

Oversized Load Moving On NM502 To DP Road Monday

COUNTY News:

Crews from Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets Department, working in conjunction with local police officers, will assist in the transport of an oversized load between 6-7 a.m. Monday.

During the morning hours, the transport company will be moving the load from the bottom of Totavi Hill, up N.M. 502 to DP Road.
