I-25 Mill & Overlay Project In Santa Fe Begins March 2

Traffic Alert:

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation is informing the traveling public that a Mill and Overlay project will begin Monday, March 2 on Interstate 25 both northbound and southbound from La Bahada Hill to just south of Cerrillos Road.

To accommodate morning and evening commute times and eliminate potential slowdowns during peak travel times, two northbound lanes of Interstate 25 will be open daily 7-9 a.m. and two southbound lanes will be open daily 4-6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Popular Catholic author and speaker Sarah Christmyer will be the guest speaker at an upcoming Lenten retreat for women hosted by Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos.

The retreat is 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14 in the Parish Hall, 3700 Canyon Road.

The theme of the retreat is based upon Christmyer’s latest book, “Becoming Women of the Word: How to Answer God’s Call with Purpose and Joy.”

Traffic Alert: Utility Work On 43rd Street Thursday

Traffic Alert:

Water crews with the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities will close a small section of 43rd Street north of Urban in North Community Thursday, Feb. 27 to replace a water service line.

The road closure and work are scheduled for one day only.

Crews will close this small section of road near the property at 2164 43 St. beginning at 7:30 a.m. and reopen by 7 p.m. Thursday.

DPU crews will maintain access to residents’ homes at all times. No water service interruption is anticipated.

Drivers are urged to observe the speed limit and traffic control signs.
