A new club for those interested in miniatures is forming in Los Alamos. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced miniaturist, a crafter looking for a new creative outlet, or just interested in learning more about this fun hobby, you are invited to join the group at 7 p.m. April 24 for the first meeting. 

Minis can be used to tell a story, mark a special occasion, recreate a memorable moment in history, or represent a fantasy world of your own creation.

Aaron’s Kids Closet opened its doors for the first time last month to serve this community. The First United Methodist Church of Los Alamos ministry provides clothes and shoes to school age children at no cost.

The top vote getter in the recent survey asking which night Creole Nouvelle Restaurant should reopen for dinner is Saturday night.

However, it turns out that some of the staff cannot work Saturday night so co-owner Ester Lucchini said the decision has been made to reopen for dinner every Thursday, which voters selected as the second most popular night.

Los Alamos Commercial Airline Service Celebrates First Year Anniversary Today

Airport Manager Peter Soderquist takes a moment this morning to celebrate the one year ‘birthday’ of commercial airline service between Los Alamos and Albuquerque with a special cake dropped off by County staff for Soderquist and customers to enjoy. This Weeks Recipe: Spaghetti Frittata

Ingredients:

3 cups of cooked spaghetti noodles (good way to use leftover noodles)
1 ½ cups of frozen onion and pepper mixture
2 tablespoons of butter
5-6 eggs
6 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper
 
Directions:

Fry the onion and pepper mixture with the butter until the veggies are softer.

Cool this mixture down.

In a mixing bowl, mix together the eggs and cheese. Add the cooked spaghetti, and cooled onion /pepper mixture, mix again.
